Almighty God who for our sake became flesh and suffered; open our eyes and hearts to the suffering in the world around us, that as we share the burdens of our brothers and sisters, they may also share in your mercy and grace; this we ask through our Lord Jesus Christ, to whom with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, be all honor and glory, now and forever.
